Tailgate latch

This morning my tailgate latch wouldn't open when I touched the button. I pulled
the emergency lever on the inside and got it to open, but now it wont close. I
am trying to find information on how to replace this, where can I get some and
what is the part called?

I have exact same problem - does anyone have an answer? Pretty sure latch is in closed position so tailgate is unable to close. How do you open the latch so it can close?
