2002 Subaru Impreza leaking coolant

Asked by Rob Aug 21, 2019 at 01:50 PM about the 2002 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Found the source was an OPEN hose leading INTO the engine
compartment from the dashboard area (passenger side). Anybody know
what the hose is or should connect to?  The hose is just ... open! I thought
maybe it should return to the radiator, but it looks like the intake on the
radiator has a bolt cap on it, so maybe that's just for turbo or something?
See pic below. I also circled the bracket it was connected to (moved for
better visibility).

...or the AC drain hose that became detached and is dripping WATER...not coolant?

Hey man, I was wondering if you figured out what this was or how you fixed it because I recently saw this under my car today and didn't really know what it was.
