Does this look like a correct low beam pattern?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I scratched a new low beam halogen bulb on
my 2015 Honda Civic SE, while installing it.
Should I replace it? I think it might have
messed up the beam pattern. See photo.
Appreciate the advice.

You wouldn't notice a scratch on the bulb, the pattern is set by the reflector itself.

Thanks. But does the pattern look normal to you in the attached pic? To me it looks weird.

Hard to say from a photo, every car is different. Try installing another bulb and compare. What are they, lIke $10.

Park about 20 feet in front of a wall at night and look at how the headlights shine on the wall. Both beams should be at the same height and not slanted. You can check your high beams the same way. Hope that helps! Jim

Thanks... I replaced the bulb which solved the problem. I must’ve damaged the other one enough to make it ineffective when I scratched it. Thank you all for the help.
