resetting display screen message

Got message on display screen to replace the Smart key battery. I have replaced it but same message appears every time I enter the car.  Unable to clear/ reset the display and can't find info in manual.  No problem before when doing other display message resets ie low tire pressure and service reminders.

Ignore manual and only replace with CR 2025 "Mercedes" battery. Apparently alternatives don't work, I concur.
