Was driving 01 Ford Escort ZX2 when it automatically shut off and started to make a clicking noise and the gas pedal went stiff, how do I repair it?

The check engine light had turned on 2 days prior so I replaced the oil because
it was leaking in my driveway. The next day I went to drive the car and the
check engine light was off but about 25 minutes into driving it the car turned
off and the gas pedal got stiff while making a clicking noise. Now the car wont
even turn on

If you ran the engine out of oil then you probably seized it up. If you get the code read it will help us give you advice.

Which code? the code that comes up when you plug it into a diagnostic scanner?
