jump starting a 2002 Thunderbird

dead battery in a 2002 t-bird.  when I connected a charger/maintainer to the
battery I'm getting an alarming "clicking sound" out of the adjacent "power
distribution box".  Wassup?

Open up the box, it's might be a bad relay.
