V8 always have terrible fuel economy and if you had the V6, it wasn't that much better. They were heavy cars and only 4 speed transmissions. Gas was cheaper back then so no one worried about it.
Can you tell me what the maintenance schedule for a 2002 - 2005 Ford Thunderbird 3.9 v-8 is? Does it have a timing belt or timing chain?

2005 Ford Thunderbird. Wiring bad in AC, it is blowing very hot air. Mechanic said I have to take it to the dealer. Sounds very expensive.
