This happens when I back out of my garage. This does not happen every time I back out and never happens anywhere other than my garage. Could it be resetting the brakes after the car has been immobile for some time?

A low pitched sqeak or growl from the brakes may be normal when just backing out of the drive and lightly riding the brakes. It may have to do with humidity and the brake pad material and the condition and finish of the rotors. My Dodge Ram does a similar thing.
