excessive oil consumption

2015 Sabaru Outback is using excessive oil consumption.

What do you call excessive? Your Subaru dealer can do an oil consumption test and maybe you will get a new short block. You can also use 5W20 or 5W30 synthetic oil which may reduce oil usage.
