Issue clearing a code reading

Asked by GuruPKF9M Jan 24, 2020 at 03:48 PM about the 2015 Kia Forte LX

Question type: General

i have a 2015 Kia Forte. My engine light came on and i checked for a code
reading on the car. Came up with a code reading p0301 # 1 cylinder misfire.
Replaced the ignition coil and plug. Engine light went out and car seems to run
fine. Did a reading on the car again and with the car running fine i am still
getting a reading for p0301 code. Tried clearing the code and it will not let me.
Woundering what'd up and if anyone has any ideas.

Is the car still running rough? It might be a leaky fuel injector, or wiring to the coil, or the valve is bad. You can do some testing.

Permanent code possibly. They started for 2010 and up. Did all the monitors run?
