2015 Camaro shuts off while driving

Asked by Maria Jul 18, 2018 at 11:39 AM about the 2015 Chevrolet Camaro 2LS Coupe RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi guys I saw a few posts about a 2015 camaro shutting
off while driving. I have a 2015 camaro myself and had it in
and out of the dealership for 2 months because this kept
happening to me to. It wasn't leaving any codes it was
rough idling, rough acceleration during moderate traffic
then the car would just shut off on me like someone hit a
kill switch and start back up normally as well as it wouldn't
happen all the time. Finally after my car has died on me 7
times I got a check engine light and it ended up being a fuel
pressure sensor. The dealership has never seen a camaro
do this but it took the car 2 months, 7 times of dying before
I even got a code and now my car feels better than ever. I
hope this helps good luck!!!

Wow!!! I am in a serious argument with gm right now over this exact issue!! They won’t do anything ! How many miles did yours have on it for it to do this ??

I have a 2018 RS Camaro with around 1,400 miles and it shut off on me for the first time tonight! I had noticed it stalling a couple times when I put it in reverse. I got to the drive-thru speaker, told my order and go to pull out and it's like someone hit a kill switch! All the lights came on in the dash, so I put it in park and hit the push start and after a second it started back up. What would cause this to happen? It's a BRAND NEW CAR! Should I contact GM?
