It's not the button style switch I believe your thinking about. The switch is part of the door latch assembly.

It is part of the latch. I replaced the latch today on my 2015 Sonata and the door open light is still on. Any suggestions?

Mine is the right rear door, when you lock the right front door it makes the right rear door ajar light up. I have narrowed it down to the harness connector from the body to the right front door. If I loosen the connector everything works fine. I believe the right door lock and right rear ajar ground wires are making contact. Going to check it out more this morning?
