Warranty issues and price?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We are having the engine replaced. Warranty company claims to only pay
12k. Dealer is asking us to pay $1700.00 is tha5 normal? Volvo 2915 s60.
Under warranty.
I think is too excessive.but they say that blue book value in the car is 12k?
