Is this a warranty claim on my breaks?

Asked by Guru9HJBT7 Nov 30, 2021 at 09:46 AM about the 2019 Volvo S60 T5 R-Design FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

after a service at my local main dealer the rear break pads were 30% worn 4
month and 3000 miles later one pad was 50% worn but on the same wheel the
other pad was -5% and had worn the disc to the point they had to be
replaced. the vehicle has only done 18,000 miles in 2 years . Has anyone else
had this problem.I feel its  a warranty claim

Hello, I'm not 100% sure but in the Consumer Protection Act job guaranties could be set at 3-Month minimum. you may have to do your own research on that. One thing I would like to mention: [one pad was 50% worn but on the same wheel the other pad was -5%] it sound that the brake caliper and brake caliper's guide pins are not working properly and may need to be replaced. Check with your Automotive Technician. Thank you.
