It is possibably your problem. When you say cab lights. Do you mean the dash light ? Try playing around with the dimmer switch for the dash light. I know you are thinking "what". But give it a try and seen if you can get the lights to flicker. It they do. You may have found the problem

yep headlight switch found it now the starter is locking up hell of a noise wont start wont crank just sounds like its bangin and doing back flips the battery is getting hot , jerkin etc

no the cab on the roof outside 5 yellow ones thats working and the p[arking lights too nowit suppose its the starter like it strying to spin backwards lol bab bab battery hgetting hot no actual crank ovr the motor it started just a few fday kind of a the noise it makes when its already running and you hit the key again growl lolol

Well I am at a loss with out looking at it myself. It sounds like a voltage problem or something is shorting to ground or a bad ground. Maybe try a voltage drop test between the block and negative battery terminal

the lights are ok now that was headlight switch i had the dash face off so many times with the cluster etc it wasnt tightly pushed in, now we:re at the starter lol

loud lol gave it up after i felt the battery getting hot from trying to get it to crank not screw up now

then the next time i go to start it and it cranks and starts acts normal lolol

what is the normal reading on the gauge on the dashboard for where the battery picture is? since i changed the cluster the air bag light stays lit, if i pull the fuse for it it goes out but the gauge drops to like 12 with it in the gauge reads like 16 99 5.7 vortec, k1500. where should it be reading and fuse or no fuse which is right im lost
