Chrysler 200 not detecting key

Asked by Brittany Oct 21, 2018 at 10:02 AM about the 2015 Chrysler 200 C Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My Chrysler 200 is not detecting my key. The key and backup key are not
unlocking the door with the buttons, the car does not detect when it is inside
the care, the car will not unlock with the hand on the handle and it's the same
issue with both keys. This makes me think it's more of a car issue than a key
issue. If it was the battery, I doubt they'd both die at the same time.

I had the same problem with my 2015 200c. I took the key fob to auto zone and changed the battery for $6.00. Took care of the problem.

It’s not the fob it’s the car. There is something wrong with the internal wiring. Worst care I ever bought.
