Left lights on 2014 Hyundai Elantra

Asked by Klp223 Aug 04, 2015 at 04:32 PM about the 2014 Hyundai Elantra SE FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I stupidly left my headlights on for
48+ hours but it started up right
away. Should I be worried I
weakened the battery or my lights
will die on me early. Also, how did I
get so lucky that my battery didn't
die?!?

No worries, most newer cars turn power drains off when key is not on. My Yukon lights inside and out go out after a few minutes with my hatch open and doors open, and even the radio shuts off after five minutes. I work out of the back of my Yukon and never have to worry about battery going down.
