What can be wrong with my 2003 GMC yukon if it is not the fuel pump, relay, or fuse?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I started my car the other morning and it was running up till the point I put it in reverse and then it died.  My dad couldnt hear the fuel pump coming on, and the fuse still clicks under the hood.  My husband has put a new fuel pump in and still nothing.  We have no clue why it is not starting.  He rented a code finder and still nothing.  Any suggestions?

yes...well the battery Negative connection must be seen by the fuel system components...remove the cable that connects to the frame/chassis, and coarse wirebrush both the lug and the chassis so SOLID grounding can take place...not only does this serve the amperage-greedy starter motor...it serves the delicate electronics....the fuel pump...holds relays in the position of actuation and the ignition systems....so this is an important connection which may not sway in voltages and available amperages~ [a work of me art]
