Put dual climate control in my 2014 Ford F150

Asked by jamaicanyc1 Dec 01, 2015 at 07:58 PM about the 2014 Ford F-150 XLT SuperCab

Question type: Car Customization

I have a 4.3 inch screen but I am purchasing a 8
inch screen oem from salvage yard. The dash kit
being purchased from the salvage yard has dual air
climate control option. I know the cd player will be
plug and play but not sure of the dual climate
control. What would I need to make my truck
compatible? Thanks

I doubt the dual climate control will work without all the ducting and controls that go with it. You may not be able to control your standard heating system with the dual climate control dash.

Look at the connection on the new dash and compare the wiring plug with the configuration on the back of the new panel. First see if they mate up. If they do, you should be able to obtain a diagram of the connections on the dash unit and make any necessary adjustments. Off the top of my head I would suspect Ford does not make a different plug type for the two different controls, just adds more contacts to accomplish the goal.
