AWD or FWD?

Asked by PJM01 Sep 20, 2016 at 07:45 PM about the 2014 Buick Encore Leather FWD

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

Looking at the 2014 Buick Encore.  I drove an AWD and a FWD model.
The AWD didn't seem as fun around corners, or as "light".  The FWD was
more fun to drive.  I do live in a snowy area.. but thinking the FWD would
be OK as long as I had good snow tires?  Plus, it would save on gas?

Also concerned about what I'm reading about brake noise.. I have seen
that a few times now.  How would I be able to tell if the one I purchase had
the "kit" installed?

Thank you
