What is the better option, GMC Terrain, Buick Encore Preferred, or Jeep's mid size SUV?

None. Go with a Honda CRV, Toyota Rav 4, or Nissan Rogue. Better reliability, better resale value, and less money down the road for repairs.

Forget the Jeep, poor reliability. Buick Encore out of your list would be my pick. Also look at the Ford Escape and the Jap models..
