PLEASE HELP-New Driver Side Suspension-Clunking While Turning and Accelerating

Asked by FordExplorerLimited Feb 10, 2017 at 10:31 PM about the 2014 Ford Explorer Limited 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I hit a curb after hitting ice and snapped my control arm. Insurance paid for
entire new front driver side suspension. Now when the shop takes it out its
making a clunking/clanking noise when turning and accelerating . The have
tried replacing the strut and axle thinking it was defective but it didn't solve the
problem. PLEASE HELP!!!!! I need my truck back.

Maybe you need to take it to another shop.

Take it to a competent suspension and alignment shop. This does NOT mean taking it to Pep Boys, Sears, Jiffy Lube or Midas.

When insurance is paying, bring it to a Ford dealership. Especially if the vehicle is a front wheel drive.
