Flashers blinking after leaving vehicle

Asked by GuruKKDQK Dec 12, 2019 at 06:34 PM about the 2014 Ford Explorer XLT

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2014 explorer. Resently the flashers have started to
blink after I lock and leave the vehicle. To correct this I
unlock and relock the doors.  It is sporadic. Happend 4
times within the last couple weeks.

They do that when you try to lock the car and at least one door is not completely shut. Since it has just started doing this one of the sensors that tell the car a door is open is going bad and will eventually fail.
