2003 tarus will not idle in park

Asked by GuruVFW7Z Sep 14, 2018 at 08:41 AM about the 2003 Ford Taurus SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2003 tarus will not idle in park if the air is on. If
I stop and leave it in drive no problem, but the
second I put it in park it dies at once. What could it
be?

Check the TPS (throttle position sensor) also MAF or MAP sensors can cause this as well as a vacuum leak but you would hear a leak that large
