87 Ford ranger, 2.9 fires but won't keep running

filter, pressure regulator psi 35
and holding, new plugs.  hitting
but won't run. Truck ran great
when I parked it years ago. 168k
. Tornado came through lifting
hood up and dousing engine! Im
so close to hearing it run again.
