1985 Ford Ranger

My truck has been running fine then all of a sudden
I went to crank it and it started clicking as if it was
dead. So I jumped it off and it cranked right up and
was running fine but then I went to cut on my
wipers they were sluggish then I tried to cut on
defrost and it almost killed the truck I had to cut it
off very quickly. The truck has lost most of it's
power some how. When I touch the gas it acts like
it wants to die . So I checked the battery cables
and fuse on the pos. cable. I don't know what it is
and I'm lost when it comes to vehicles. Any ideas?

Sounds like you have more than one problem, have the battery and the charging system tested, it really sounds like the battery is on it's last legs and the alternator output is at bare minimum, there could be a diode problem inside the alternator itself or the regulator is bad.
