1989 f-150, 5.0, has problem getting gas.....

Hard to start early in the morning and at stop
light when i take off it seems like it wants to
choke out, it did die once at a light after i was
pushing gas and rolling slow......

You have to begin checking various things, including the fuel pump. Begin in the morning when it's hard to start. Make sure there is sufficient spark, fuel, etc. It's going to be a process of elimination. However, if sometimes it runs good and sometime bad, I'd suspect electronics are going out.
