1988 F 150 randomly cuts out ignition and is hard to restart. No certain time. Happens during idle, cruise, and highway speeds. Replaced coil and verified timing. Fairly new distributor and module.

I know you said fairly new module,but that sound,s like the problem if distributor is new.Check that module again.

Sure enough. There was no grease in between the module and distributor housing. Thanks Bud
