If you are not going to fix it yourself, just go to a dealer or repair shop. With a name like "strawberryrose" I would not expect you to try fixing it yourself. Find your VIN and the 8th character tells you the engine type: Y = 6 cylinder 4.9L/300 cid N = 8 cyl. 5.0L/302 cid H = 8 cyl. 5.8L/351 cid Someone else will help you with identifying the transmission, but they need to know if it is 3, 4 or 5-speed.

Thank you so much for your help. And don't let a name fool you. I have changed an engine before in a Chevy g20 van, mostly by myself. i have changed oil and brakes and mufflers and plugs and wires and master cylinder to mention a few. I have not owned a ford before so was not sure about the engine sizes. i knew it was a strait 6. Please be careful when making assumptions on a persons name. Again, I do appreciate the information.
