Wiring on 1988 F150

Asked by GuruT6NC1 Jul 18, 2018 at 03:22 PM about the 1988 Ford F-150 S Standard Cab 4WD LB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1988 F150 with a Winsor 351 that the rats have caused some
damage.    There are three wires in a wire loom to the coil.  White with blue
stripe to the positive coil terminal, green to the negative coil terminal, and
another white with blue stripe going to another connector.  Out of the
connector is a black wire but is chewed off.  Cannot find where is should be.
Bolted to the side of the bracket that holds the coil is something with vacuum
lines.  On top of mine, there are 4 posts sticking up like something is
missing.  On some pictures that I have seen, it looks like the black wire goes
to this area.  Can anyone help?  I have a photo attached of the wire and 4
post unit.
