Starting issues f150

Asked by Luke Aug 10, 2016 at 04:59 PM about the 1987 Ford F-150 STD Standard Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1987 ford f150 with a 4.9L 300 straight 6. The
issue i have with the truck is the starter had went out and I
replaced it. I went out one morning and it wouldnt start just
clicked. I replaced the solenoid and it started and ran for a
day. The next morning the same thing. I replace the
solenoid again. (I had to install a push button start since
the rod in the steering column broke. I dont know if there is
a battery drain somewhere or if wiring is not correct. Im
going to try to jumpstart the truck to see what happens. My
truck is a manual.

I just replaced the battery cables and we are going to see in the morning if the battery drains or not
