Sputtering and spitting from the engine

So my truck has been sputtering and
loseing power when I hit about 3000 rpm
you can hear it in the exost cutting in and
out it has also started back firing on me I
also only get about 5-7 miles to the gallon
and I don't see how that's possible it's a
little 302 5.0 just needing suggestions and
help thanks

Cut the catalytic converter off did plugs wires distributer cap and router I even replaced the egr valve
