will a 5 sp trans from a 95 F-150 fit a 84 F-150 and what has to be changed?

Looks like not. The bell housing bolt patterns are different. Maybe can change bell housing? Dunno that..check out this: http://www.hotrodders.com/forum/ford-l6-v8-manual-transmission-58293.html

http://www.crankshaftcoalition.com/wiki/Transmission_identification if you want to try to figure out that page it does have lots on info. One way to tell for sure is have them both out, lay side -by-side and measure bolt patterns and length, to see if mounts will fit and driveshaft is different length. But driveshafts can be shortened or lengenthed and balanced not too much money
