these days anything will fit how much time do u have up your sleave but

ya they are the exact same block, y wouldn't it fit. but i think the crank would be different if the mustang motor was matted to a manual transmission rather than a automatic.

351 blocks are bigger than 302 blocks and they fit, the motor mounts are a little different i think.

They should fit. I don't know why It wouldn't. Because the 5.0l is the same as the 302. But considering that yours is a 79 its going to be carberated, so the motor mounts are going to be a little off. Not by much, but like maybe an inch to two inches. KEEP THE FORD LEGEND LIVING!
