Noise from the front of the engine more than likely has to do with the serpentine belt. It is either squealing, squawking, or there may be a bad idler pulley making noise. You would have to take the serpentine belt off and check all the pulleys, the AC compressor bearing is a good one for making noise also. It could even be because of the belt tensioner. It just needs to be looked at, and depending on how many miles are on this, say 40,000 miles or so, the belt should be changed out also. But if there is something wrong with any of the components the belt rides on, it will only make the same noise again if not fixed.
