fuel is flooding back into fuel pump after car turns off

i have a 1996 bmw 328is and i just replace the fuel pump this start after i filled the gas
tank all the way up about a week after changing it when the car runs i dont have a
problem but when i turn the car off the fuel floods where the fuel pump is it shouldent be
doing that. its seems like it wont return into the tank once the car is off it just shoots
riught back to the fuel pump but does not go into the tank just all around the fuel pump
please help i hate smelling fuel in my car !

Double check the work. Something could be loose or cracked.

yea i check and when i filled the gas it was able to poor out where the cap on the seal wasent all the way on thank you :)
