Replacement battery for 2014 Subaru Forrester - petrol

Asked by GuruCRXD4 Mar 03, 2019 at 07:37 PM about the 2014 Subaru Forester 2.5i

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The battery on my Subaru Forester is
on its way out. I just got a dealer
quote to replace. Because it’s a
‘special’ stop start battery it’s going
to cost $450 AUD.  Can I put a
cheaper battery in that won’t damage
the car? Any suggestions? Thanks

That price is absurd. First stay away from the dealer and second check out Optima batteries. Any auto parts store can sell you a battery for a lot less than the dealer.
