2014 Subaru Forrester rear coil spring outer coating

Asked by Christinezucc May 03, 2020 at 07:56 PM about the 2014 Subaru Forester 2.5i

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I brought my 2014 Subaru Forrester in because I was
hearing noise in the rear and also have the recall to be
taken care of. Recall  was to replace the rear coil springs.
During this visit I was told that I needed my rear bearings
replaced but its covered under my extended warranty and I
had to pay $100 deductible.  Shouldn't bearings be
replaced the same time as the rear coil springs to avoid an
uneven wear?
