Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Subaru Forester, 2014, 55K miles. Rear brakes done a year ago at local tire
company; front brakes done at dealer in April after a noise developed. To my
ear, the "squeak" comes from right front wheel - not when braking, but when
I take my foot OFF the brake - it is worse when turning to the right.
Sometimes I hear it even when moving straight ahead. Due to normal road
noise and windows being closed once over 40 mph or so, then I don't hear it.
Both shops have told me "nothing wrong" except the dealer told me in June
(when I took it back after the noise continued!) "oh, the rear brake job didn't
use OEM materials - it's their fault." I no longer think it's the caliper as it's
INTERMITTENT, not constant. There are days when i do NOT hear it at all.
Although I know that I am not crazy (!! HA!!) I am worried that we're taking a
1,200 mile road trip in two weeks! Taking it back to dealer tomorrow. Any
ideas?

I would have them clean all the brake parts and use the appropriate anti squeak stuff on the moving parts.
