Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When going down a long grade (say about 6 miles) I shift to L to save breaks .
Due to the grade I am "coasting" about 60 to 65  miles per hour.  Is thsi Ok or
am I hurting my transmission?  thanks

I don't think you have anything to worry about. What is the engine RPM when coasting at 65?

Exactly. And what do you mean by "Low", as the programmers' algorithm artificially sets 6 "steps". So knowing the max RPM you race down at is key.
