2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland DEF warning

Asked by William Apr 01, 2020 at 07:40 AM about the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Bought the vehicle in 10/22/19. Was told, ALL
updates & recalls were already performed.
Now after 4000mi have the message DEF See
dealer engine will not restart in 90 mi.
Dealer Because of Corona virus fears won't touch
vehicle. Found out the jeeps a part of the class
action lawsuit. Wasn't told that... milage till restart
stops at 36mi. NOW WTF should I do. THIS IS MY
FIRST NEWEST vehicle in over 35yrs.
I'm stumped. Need her to commute back & forth to
work(critical industry). Dealership suggested
parking her & renting another car.

Find another Dealer. Not trying to be a wise guy but I'm sure another Dealer won't be as paranoid about working on it. Auto repair facilities are considered essential businesses which is why the service departments are open but the sales floor is not! Hope that helps! Jim
