Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2008 grand cherokee overland with the sat nav radio. The screen starts to "roll" until screen goes blanm it then flickers for a while and after a while starts to come back to the normal screen. Is there something lose or is this common?

It could be a loose/pinched/corroded wire but most likely the head unit itself is shot. Trust me on this you do not want to replace it with another factory one. Go to a car stereo place(Best Buy or any good local install shop) and get an aftermarket unit. It will be cheaper, have up to date maps, a ton more options(Bluetooth, USB/AUX ports, ect), have a larger screen and more!! Your factory nav/stereo is 7 years old when it comes to electronics that's old. Would you use a 7 year old smart phone or laptop?
