2005 Ram 1500 won't start

Asked by Kayla Jun 17, 2017 at 12:56 PM about the 2005 Dodge RAM 1500 Rumble Bee RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My truck has been running perfectly fine until a few
days ago when it wouldn't start. I tried jumping and
it didn't work. The battery is at 84% and the starter
tested fine at Auto Zone. It's not making any noises
at all when you try to crank. The lights all work and
do not dim when trying to start it. All of the dash
lights work also. I'm at a loss to what to try next.

Hoping this is not a ignition module or ignition switch issue but did you have a look at your fuses and relays? Would take some sandpaper or wire brush to all electrical contact points for the starter and battery terminals. Maybe you did this already. Just for kicks put the truck in neutral and give it a shot.

My 05’ Daytona is doing the same thing, turn the key and nothing, lights all comes on as normal, everything works as normal just the engine won’t crank over. Did you figure out what the issue was? All fuses are fine battery is at full charge.
