My 84 caprice classic's 305 has just been engine swapped for a chevy truck's 305. Now it starts but wont keep running help please...

I drove it home after engine swap with
few problems.

The engine itself is not the problem. Did you keep the original parts, like the electronic computers and ignition? That may be the problem. The newer engine uses different computers, sensors and codes. If a professional team put in the engine, take it back and have them check the codes and sensors.
