Ok.....IF this is a Dual zone system...I believe their is a electronically controlled door which is located in the AC duct work. There is an electric actuator which operates that door.....which is controlled by a Computerror. The door could be stuck...the actuator could be bad....could be a computer problem. These Dual Zone Systems are best diagnosed with a By.. Directional Scan Tool. Check your Owners Manual to verify if this system is indeed Dual Zone. Get back with results.

Make Model Year of your vehicle? Did you scope the good side....driver side? Any warning lights on or flashing. What does the AC indicator lamp do when the AC is on?

thanks last chance, (2013 camry also) but i just resolved the issue, turns out low refrigerant on these vehicles is the cause, easy fix in the end. thanks anyway.

Thanks for the update. If a recharge does not work for any length of time....must be a leak some where?

Hello, I too have a similar problem. Diver side vent is not cooling but passenger side is fine. Couple of time filled the ac gas, but back to again to the same state. Now Mechanic says evaporator coil problem, need to replace. Did anyone had a similar issue? How did they resolve? Thanks.

If adding refrigerant fixes the problem...then the issue returns...you have a leak somewhere in the AC system. Next step in the diagnosis is usually ....add a special dye to the system ....run the system....then use a special light to see the leak. This procedure requires special equipment. A quick check for a leaking evaporator is to carefully probe the DRAIN for the evaporator. If that probe has an oily watery material on it...the evap is leaking. This is another step for the AC repair tech. Keep us up to date on this concern.
