I have a 1985 towncar, the highbeams come on if I hold the switch back and hold, but if you release the handle the high beams go out.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Highbeams won't stay on, I have replaced the switch, and I am told they don't make the
sensor anymore. Is there a way to bypass the sensor so that the switch will work right. or
do you have another idea, thanks

When you sat switch do you mean the headlight switch or the mulifunction (turn signal) switch on the steering column?

have a mechanic put a switch on the floor for your left foot, where a high beam switch SHOULD be on a big ol' Lincoln-
