electric window

Asked by oscartdad5566 Dec 14, 2014 at 12:57 AM about the 1988 Lincoln Mark VII LSC

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My passenger front window was working and just stopped. Is there a fuse somewhere other that at the box?  Or, if anyone has an idea I would appreciate ideas to address the question, with possible elimination test.  thanks.

Check both switches. If neither one operates the window then pull the door panel and with a test light check for power. A unscientific test is to turn on the headlights and try pushing the switch. If the headlights dim slightly then it's the window motor is frozen. If nothing happens then most likely it's a wireing problem.
