My Chevy 350 crate runs fine idling but stalls out after putting in gear

Just swapped out my engine for a new crate 350. All new parts and it ran fine
before the swap. Now it idles fine but the moment you put it in gear it pops
and stalls out, like if it is starved for gas. P,ease help!!
