Starting problems

Yes I have a 1990 530 Bmw it won't start when I go
to start it unless I prime it through the air box and
then it runs normal and when I shut off the key I
still have to prime it back to the air box I check the
fuel pressure Rail and I had sufficient enough
pressure someone told me it might be a thermal
switch but I don't know where it's located and
when will that have to do with initial start up
please help desperate and also the battery has a
drawn keeps dying I put a new battery in it

That is an old BMW- it is getting tired- you will need a good mechanic who knows these cars- no way around it- you chose this when you bought this car- it could get more expensive than it's worth-
