Compass will not appear...fuse problem or??

My "new" used car has 46k already; no comprehensive warranty available. Can't find any info re: fuse, so wiring may be the issue. Hate to pay dealer to troubleshoot if it's something simple.

The vehicle has a compass hidden within maps app. The 2013 Toyota Highlander Limited is equipped with a auto dimming rear view mirror. I personally miss a mirror with a compass built-in.
